Despite the commercial underperformance of “Kannappa,” Vishnu Manchu is pleased with the nationwide recognition the film brought him. Encouraged by the response, he is now eyeing another ambitious mythological project.
In a recent interview, Vishnu revealed his plans to produce a film based on the Ramayana, but with a unique twist. It will be told from Ravana’s perspective. The concept, he believes, will offer a fresh take on the epic.
For the cast, he envisions Tamil superstar Suriya as Lord Rama and Alia Bhatt as Sita. Interestingly, he had initially considered casting his father, veteran actor Mohan Babu, as Ravana. However, Vishnu hinted that he might take on the role himself if the project goes into production.
He also confirmed that the script for the film is already complete and ready for development.
