Suriya has finally bounced back with a box-office success in “Karuppu”, ending a long dry spell. Riding high on the film’s positive response, the actor is now gearing up for his next release, “Vishwanath and Sons”.
Unlike the mass-oriented “Karuppu”, which blended action with devotional elements, “Vishwanath and Sons” is a family drama directed by Venky Atluri. Producer Naga Vamsi today officially announced that the film will hit theatres on August 14, 2026, perfectly timed to capitalize on the long Independence Day holiday weekend.
Suriya plays the titular role of Sanjay Vishwanath, while Mamitha Baiju stars as the female lead. Veteran actresses Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon essay key roles in the film.
The story revolves around Sanjay Vishwanath, whose life takes an unexpected turn when a young woman, nearly two decades younger than him, persistently pursues him for romance.
The newly released poster presents Suriya in a stylish vintage look, reminding fans of the charm and screen presence that made him a star. The actor appears dashing and confident, raising expectations for the film.
