Who will release Kaala in Telugu?

Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ that is produced by his son-in-law and actor-producer Dhanush will be hitting the screens in Tamil and Telugu on 27 April. Although the film is not sequel to ‘Kabaali’, it runs on the similar lines and is directed by the same maker Pa Ranjith.
 
Since ‘Kabaali’ was a huge hit in Tamil, ‘Kaala’ is carrying gargantuan expectations. However, the same is not case with the Telugu version. ‘Kabaali’ was a dud here and the latest ‘Kaala’ is not enticing much excitement.
 
Dhanush is looking for Telugu producers but the price that he is quoting is huge and the Telugu producers don’t want to touch it. In the recent past, unknown or new producers had bagged the rights of Rajinikanth’s movies as regular producers refused to pay the high price. After ‘Robo’, none of Rajini’s movies made money in Telugu states.
 
Though his ‘2.0’ is carrying huge expectations and its rights were bagged for whopping Rs 90 Cr by Asian Films, ‘Kaala’ is not getting the same enthusiasm from Telugu producers.
