Two years ago, Netflix announced the web series ‘The beginning of Baahubali the Beginning’ with much fanfare. It was touted to be India’s ‘Game of Thrones’.
Similarly, the Telugu version of hugely popular ‘Lust Stories’ with four directors helming the anthology was launched a year ago.
No progress is known on these projects. The streaming giant is not making any statement on the fate of these two web dramas, while it is unveiling Bollywood content regularly.
Directors Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru who worked on the web drama of ‘Baahubali’ have moved on to their new film commitments. Meanwhile, Sankalp Reddy and Nandini Reddy who had directed a story each in the Telugu version of ‘Lust Stories’ are now busy with the pre-production of their respective new projects. Eesha Rebba who played a bold role in the Telugu version of ‘Lust Stories’ is keeping silent on this project.
We hear that the streaming giant is not satisfied with the Baahubali web series and is reworking on it.
