Reports: Shraddha Kapoor in AA23, Sai Pallavi in Kalki 2

Fresh rumors are doing the rounds on social media linking Shraddha Kapoor and Sai Pallavi to two of the most ambitious pan-Indian projects currently in development. While there is no official confirmation yet, here’s what the buzz is all about.

Allu Arjun and director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently announced their first-ever collaboration, tentatively titled #AA23, with a stylish video glimpse that created massive excitement. Touted to be a sci-fi action drama, Lokesh has described the project as his “dream film.” Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is expected to go on floors later this year.

According to social media speculation, Shraddha Kapoor has reportedly been finalized as the female lead. One of Bollywood’s top actresses, Shraddha earlier made her Telugu debut with Saaho. If these reports turn out to be true, AA23 would mark only her second Telugu project. However, an official announcement from the makers is still awaited.

Kalki 2

Meanwhile, director Nag Ashwin has reportedly begun pre-production work on Kalki 2, the sequel to the blockbuster “Kalki 2898 AD.” The first part starred Prabhas in the lead, with Deepika Padukone playing Sumati, a pivotal character central to the film’s narrative.

Recent reports suggest that the makers have decided not to continue with Deepika Padukone due to differences over remuneration and working-hour conditions. Despite the importance of her role, the team is said to be considering a replacement, with the latest buzz pointing towards Sai Pallavi stepping in for the sequel.

As of now, neither of these casting reports has been officially confirmed. It remains to be seen whether Shraddha Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will indeed come on board these two big-ticket pan-Indian films.
