Dacoit posts impressive numbers in its first weekend

The first weekend collections of “Dacoit,” starring Adivi Sesh, can be termed decent to good. While the film performed impressively in certain areas, it remained just okay in others. Overall, the opening weekend numbers are strong for a film of this nature.

In its first weekend, “Dacoit” grossed Rs 34 crore worldwide, combining collections from domestic and overseas markets across all languages. This marks the best opening weekend for an Adivi Sesh solo starrer, making it his career-best.

Although most Telugu films are now being released in five languages targeting a pan-Indian audience, nearly 90 percent of the collections still come from the Telugu version. The Hindi version contributes marginally better, while other language versions bring in minimal numbers. “Dacoit” followed a similar trend, with the Hindi version contributing around Rs 4.5 crore in the first weekend, while the majority came from the Telugu version.

Day 1 Rs 7.63 Cr
Day 2 Rs 8.01 Cr
Day 3 Rs 7.49 Cr
Total India Collection Rs 23.13 Cr

In North America, the film grossed about $900K. Overall, “Dacoit” has posted a decent total, and it remains to be seen how it performs over the weekdays.
