NTR is stepping in the shoes of the senior stars Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi, who had earlier hosted the show of ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’, the Telugu version of the highly popular Hindi quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Karodpati’. The brand new version of this show is titled ‘Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu’ (EMK), which is to be telecast on Gemini TV.
NTR and the team of ‘EMK’ met the press today to announce the program formally.
Explaining the reason that prompted him to take up the show, NTR said that the opportunity to interact with all walks of people in person is the driving force. “In Bigg Boss, my debut as a TV host, I had got the chance to interact with the contestants only. In EMK, people from all regions and all walks of life come to the hot seat and it would be great to interact with them,” he reasoned.
He also admitted that Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi, the predecessors of the show, had left their mark as the hosts. “They had done exceptionally well as the hosts. No comparisons with them. I will try to leave a mark of my own on this show,” he said.
NTR also refused to talk about the current politics and his political entry. NTR is currently acting in Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’.
