Actress Pooja Hegde has finally responded to the controversy surrounding her comments about South Indian audiences’ obsession with the naval part of a movie actress.
In an interview with Bollywood critic Anupama Chopra, Pooja Hegde said that she would rather have a guy look at her legs rather than her naval. But many have construed that she made insulting comments about the tastes of the Telugu audiences. She owes all her success and popularity to the Telugu movie industry.
As she is getting trolled on social media on these comments, Pooja Hegde has responded and clarified that her statements are being misinterpreted.
“What I said in my interview is being attributed to another situation. They may twist my words but can’t change my love towards the Telugu audiences. The Telugu film industry is my heartbeat. My audience and my fans know very well about my opinions. I am responding to put an end to misinterpretation,” she said in her statement.
Pooja Hegde is currently working opposite Prabhas in ‘Radhe Shyam’. She also has ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ with Akhil on the sets.
