83 is the most-awaited sports drama. The film that is a biography of Kapil Dev is being made in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages. The film was slated for April 2020 release but it got postponed due to lockdown. In this backdrop, an OTT company has offered huge money to release it directly in digital space.
The film starring Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev is directed by Kabir Khan. The makers have preferred have rejected the lucrative offer.
Officially confirming the same, director Kabir Khan says, “83 is a film that has been envisioned and made to be experienced on the big screen and we are ready to wait for things to get normal and then release it in cinemas.”
The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films and produced on the banner Kabir Khan Films Production. It is also produced by Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan, Vishnu Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Phantom Films, Reliance Entertainment, and 83 Film Ltd.
