Aditi Shankar, daughter of popular director Shankar, is all set to make her Telugu film debut with Bhairavam, where she stars opposite Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas. The film, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, is scheduled for release on May 30, 2025. As part of the promotional campaign, Aditi Shankar arrived in Hyderabad.
Speaking to the media, Aditi revealed how she landed the role.
“Director Vijay saw my first Tamil film and felt I would be a perfect fit for the character in Bhairavam. I thought it would be tough to act in Telugu, but thanks to our director and writer, Satya, I felt very comfortable in the language as well. I play a bold, honest, and bubbly girl. The character is quite close to my real personality, which made it more enjoyable,” Aditi Shankar said.
Aditi also reminisced about her childhood visits to Ramoji Film City with her father during his shoots.
“Back then, I never imagined I would be shooting for my film here someday. It’s a realization of a long-held dream. I’ve always wanted to work in Telugu cinema, and I feel incredibly happy to be doing it with such a good film,” she said with pride.

Despite being the daughter of one of India’s biggest directors, Aditi insists she wants to carve her path. “It’s definitely a satisfying challenge. I take my father’s name as an honor, but I never feel pressure because of it,” she explained.
Aditi Shankar stated that “Magadheera” was the first Telugu film she watched in a theater. “That’s when I became a fan of Rajamouli garu and Ram Charan garu,” she added.
