Director Maruthi has moved on to his next project after facing heavy criticism for his recent film “The Raja Saab” starring Prabhas. The film drew trolling from audiences, especially after its OTT release, with many calling out its outdated treatment and direction.
In the aftermath, Maruthi reportedly attempted damage control, but the backlash continued. Now, he seems focused on a fresh start.
On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, Maruthi performed a traditional pooja and soft-launched his next project. He shared that he has completed writing the script and placed the script papers before deities. Dressed in traditional silk attire, he marked the new beginning on a spiritual note.
The director has not revealed details about the cast and crew yet. However, sources suggest he is planning a simple, entertaining film, targeting a Sankranthi 2027 release.
