Aishwarya Rajesh: I like socially responsible characters

Actress Aishwarya Rajesh requires no introduction. She showcased her acting skills in multiple Tamil films that were dubbed into Telugu and achieved success. Aishwarya Rajesh has previously acted in couple of Telugu films as well, and she played the primary female protagonist in Venkatesh’s “Sankranthiki Vasthunam.”

Aishwarya Rajesh played Bhagyam, Venkatesh’s wife, in the film. She claims she has never performed such a role in her career. “It’s not your usual wife’s character. There’s more to it,” she explained.

When asked about her favorite roles, she expressed that being an actor is a blessing and that performers should not distinguish between different roles.

She explained, “Not everyone has the opportunity to appear in films. It is a blessing to be an actor. Film is an excellent medium for telling different stories. I enjoy playing a variety of characters, but it would be ideal if the roles I play included a sense of societal responsibility.”

“Sankranthiki Vasthunam” is set to arrive in theaters on January 14, 2025.
