Comedian Ali issued a statement refuting the reports of his disenchantment with YSRCP. For the past few days, there has been a talk that he is dissatisfied with the YSRC party leadership as it has not fulfilled promises. It was said he would be joining Jana Sena party headed by Pawan Kalyan.
However, Ali clarified that he didn’t join the party seeking posts. “Some people are trying to malign my image. I have joined the YSRC party to help Jagan become chief minister of the state,” he stated.
Ali campaigned for the YSRC party in the 2019 elections. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised him a post appropriate to his stature. But three years went by without promises getting fulfilled. It is a fact that he is sulking.
But late on Wednesday evening, he sent a message to the media saying he is not leaving the party.
