The current surge in COVID-19 cases is nothing but the third wave, say the health experts. So, Bollywood has begun pushing back the releases of upcoming films. Shahid Kapoor’s “Jersey” has already been postponed indefinitely.
Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Prithviraj’ backed out. The film will not get a theatrical release this month. Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai’, being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, may also choose another date. The film was originally slated to hit the theaters on January 6, but it was pushed to Feb 18, to give way for ‘RRR’.
She is part of both ‘Gangubai’ and ‘RRR’.
We have to see whether ‘KGF 2’, which is scheduled to hit the screens on April 14th, will also opt for a new date. The makers of “KGF 2” will wait for clarity.
