Veteran Bollywood actor Om Puri is no more. Om Puri who acted in many great movies in Indian Cinema passed away after a massive heart attack early this morning (Jan 6). 66-year-old Om Puri was survived by a son.
Om Puri first shot to fame with art films made in 80’s. His noted performances during that period were from Aakrosh (1980), Bhavni Bhavai (1980), Sadgati (1981), Ardh Satya (1982), and Mirch Masala (1986). Later he became regular actor in many mainstream movies too. He also featured in Hollywood films such as ‘The Ghost and the Darkness’ and ‘East Is East’.
He also acted in Telugu movies. In director Uma Maheshwara Rao’s ‘Ankuram’ (1992), he played the role of Satyam. He also acted in Ram Gopal Varma’s Telugu-Hindi bilingual ‘Raatri’.
