Ashwin Gangaraju, the former associate of Rajamouli, made his debut as a director with ‘Aakashavani’. The film that premiered on an OTT platform received appreciation. He has now teamed up with top writer Vijayendra Prasad for a period action drama.
Titled ‘1770’, the period drama is based on Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s Bengali novel ‘Anandamath’. Bankim’s song ‘Vande Mataram’ in the novel later became the national song of India.
