Baahubali producers' next is a remake

Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, of Arka Mediaworks, who produced ‘Baahubali’ have announced their next Telugu film. They have chosen to remake critically acclaimed Malayalam hit ‘Maheshinte Prathikaram’. Venkatesh Maha who debuted with critically acclaimed ‘Care of Kancheraplem’ is helming this remake.

‘Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya’ is the title chosen for the Telugu version. Actor Satyadev reprises the role of Fahaad Fasil. The shoot has already been completed.

The makers have announced its release date as April 17, 2020.

It is a strange to see that a director who won critical acclaim with his debut film for original thoughts has chosen a remake subject for his second film.
