Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s ‘Bharateeyudu 2’/’Indian 2’ has been grappling with many issues right from day one. The biggest shock director Shankar received was the crane accident on the sets that killed three persons. The film’s shoot was stopped after that accident. Adding further misery to their woes, the lockdown was implemented.
The latest is that Shankar is under pressure to wrap it quickly post the lockdown period. There is a rumor that he may release the film in two parts to recover the costs incurred. It is just an idea, nothing has been finalized.
Shankar and the production house are worried about the film’s prospects at the box-office post this pandemic conditions. So, releasing one part next year and the other part after sometime is one option they are thinking about.
‘Bharateeyudu 2’ is a sequel to Shankar and Kamal Haasan’s 1990’s blockbuster ‘Bharateeyudu/Indian’. Kamal Haasan is reprising the same role that he had played in the original. The additional cast comprises of Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, and Rakul Preet Singh. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music.
