Box-office: ‘Bro’ has a modest opening weekend

Pawan Kalyan’s films typically amass collections on the scale of a tsunami. Many people predicted that his latest film “Bro” would also be a box office success. The box office numbers, however, pale in comparison to a typical Pawan Kalyan blockbuster. But, it should be noted that this is not a typical commercial film. Pawan Kalyan appeared in the film as an extended cameo as a god. The film lacked a heroine for Pawan Kalyan, fights, and other commercial elements.

Considering these factors, “Bro,” also starring Pawan Kalyan’s nephew Sai Dharam Tej, performed at a decent level in its opening weekend. It reported modest numbers. The film grossed about Rs 79 Crore worldwide (the share is Rs 55 Cr).

While the film is doing well in some areas, such as Hyderabad and some districts in Andhra Pradesh, the overall collection is just decent.

The film grossed $1.1 million in the United States. Given the film’s poor reviews, this is an impressive figure at the USA box office.
