Following the disappointing performance of “Akhanda 2”, director Boyapati Srinu is trying to set a big project and bounce back.
Industry sources say the filmmaker has begun developing a fresh story with the intention of pitching it to Tamil star Suriya. Boyapati is reportedly keen on teaming up with the actor for his next venture.
Despite the setback of “Akhanda 2”, Boyapati continues to enjoy the backing of several leading production houses and is believed to have advance commitments with major banners. However, his preference at the moment is said to be a film under the Geetha Arts banner.
Interestingly, Geetha Arts and Suriya have been looking to collaborate for quite some time. With Suriya’s market receiving a significant boost following the success of “Karuppu”, the timing could work in favor of such a combination.
Everything now hinges on Suriya’s response to the narration. If the actor gives his nod, Geetha Arts is likely to bankroll the project, paving the way for Boyapati’s next directorial.
