The controversy surrounding the trailer of the movie “#Single,” featuring Sree Vishnu, Ketika Sharma, and Ivana, took a new turn on Wednesday after producer Bunny Vas expressed his anger on X.com.
In a cryptic post, Bunny Vas said he wants to respond strongly to the controversy but is showing restraint for now.
What’s the controversy around the Single trailer?
The trailer of #Single includes a line where Sree Vishnu says, “Batuku Manchu Kurisipoyindi.” Here, “Manchu” is used as a euphemism for an expletive to avoid censor issues. That expletive is typically used to express that life is “f***ed up.”
Manchu Vishnu reportedly took offense to his surname being used as a stand-in for a curse word. He allegedly scolded the makers of “#Single” and demanded the line be removed from both the trailer and the film.
Bunny Vas, who is part of the production team behind #Single, seems to be enraged by Vishnu’s reaction. Hence, the cryptic post. “Single” is set for release on May 9th. The film is rom-com.
