Chandrasekhar Yeleti is director with a difference. He treads the path less traveled. From his debut movie ‘Aithey’, he has been telling stories that are not regularly seen on Telugu screen. His last film ‘Saahasam’ starring Gopichand as hero was a treasure-hunt adventure thriller. Now he has picked up an emotional storyline of four people.
Titled ‘Manamantha’, the film is made in three languages Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam simultaneously. The movie has Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Actress Gauthami and a newcomer Viswant and child artiste Raina Rao in the lead roles. As the trailer suggests it revolves around these four people.
“Manamantha narrates the lives of middle-class people, their apprehensions and vulnerabilities. It’s a human drama with simple emotions and subtle sensibilities. It is told from point of view of four people of different age groups. Every person can relate to these characters,” said director Yeleti in a statement. He further added they live in the same ‘world’.
Produced by Sai Korrapati of Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, the film is slated for August 5th release. Mohanlal dubbed his voice in Telugu. This is Mohanlal’s first straight Telugu release. He will also be seen in ‘Janatha Garage’ next month. In the past, Mohanlal appeared in a cameo appearance in Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer ‘Gandivam’.
