Cinematographer Gianni Giannelli walks out of ‘Double iSmart’

Puri Jagannadh and Ram Pothineni have reunited. They are currently working on “Double iSmart,” the sequel to the blockbuster “iSmart Shankar.” The filming has been ongoing in Mumbai for some time.

However, the shooting has been hampered by the exit of the cinematographer from the project.

Gianni Giannelli, the cameraman behind Bollywood films such as “Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga,” left the project after two schedules were completed. He reportedly had differences with Puri Jagannadh.

Puri Jagannadh immediately called on his long-time collaborator Shyam K Naidu (“Pokiri”) to fill in after Gianni Giannelli abruptly left the project while filming was still underway in Mumbai.

“Double iSmart” has Kavya Thapar as one of the leading ladies. The film is slated for early 2024 release.
