Court summons Superstar Rajinikanth

A court in Madhurai today summoned superstar Rajinikanth to appear before it on March 8th. The summons were issued to Rajinikanth, director K S Ravikumar and producer Rockline Venkatesh in connection with a suit filed against their film ‘Lingaa’ on the charge that its storyline had been stolen from another script writer.

Released in 2014, ‘Lingaa’ was directed by K S Ravikumar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. The movie starred Rajinikanth, Anushka and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. The film was a flop.

A writer Ravi Rathinam alleges that his script was stolen by the makers of ‘Lingaa’.
