Darbar losses: Murugadoss seeks police protection

Superstar Rajinikanth starrer ‘Darbar’ directed by Murugadoss bombed at the box-office. Not only in Telugu states, but the film was also a huge flop in Tamilnadu as well. All distributors have lost huge money. Of late, Murugadoss is dishing out boring films with hollow scripts. Mahesh Babu’s ‘Spyder’ was a disaster and now ‘Darbar’ met with the same result.

The distributors are demanding compensation for the losses incurred. The distributors staged a dharna at Rajinikanth’s residence in Chennai recently. Fearing threats from the distributors, Murugadoss is now seeking police protection for his residence.

Starring Rajinikanth as a police commissioner, the film starred Nayanthara as the heroine. The film was released on Jan 9.
