“Veera Simha Reddy” has shattered many records in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s career. It not only becomes the biggest opener in Balayya’s career, but it also ranks among the all-time biggest opening movies in Telugu cinema.
he film began screenings at 4 a.m. in many centres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and all shows were sold out.
The film grossed Rs 43 lakhs on its first day at RTC X Roads, making it the fourth biggest opening ever after ‘RRR,’ ‘KGF 2,’ and ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’. In Telangana, the film grossed more than Rs 10 Cr (gross), a record for a Balakrishna film.
It grossed Rs 5.75 crore ($708k) in the United States. Overall, the film grossed more than Rs 50 crore on its first day, setting a new record in Balakrishna’s career.
On day two, “Veera Simha Reddy” is also doing well and the film will capitalise on the Sankranthi holidays further.
