Even before the release of ‘Dear Comrade’, Bollywood producer Karan Johar bought the movie’s Hindi remake rights. Now that the Telugu version is struggling at the box-office, many are wondering whether Karan Johar would attempt remaking it in Hindi.
There were also rumors that this whole episode of Karan Johar buying remake rights is a publicity stunt.
But our sources have informed us that Karan bought the rights paying Rs 5 Cr. The film will definitely be made in Bollywood. But Karan Johar has hired writers to change the screenplay and narrate the movie as Lilly’s story and not as Bobby’s story.
So, in Bollywood, the film will be heroine-centric. Since the film touched the topical issue of ‘Me Too’, it will definitely strike a chord with the metro audiences of Bollywood. It will have to be narrated in a tighter manner.
