Vijay Deverakonda’s recent release ‘Dear Comrade’ is the only Telugu film that is being considered for India’s Oscar entry by Film Federation of India (FFI). Along with ‘Dear Comrade’, 28 films from different languages are also picked up by FFI.
FFI will do the screening process and select one film that will go for the Oscar Award’s race in Foreign Language category.
‘Dear Comrade’ is the only Telugu film to get a place in Oscar’s entry list. The screening process is already underway in Kolkata and final results will be announced on September 21st.
Noted filmmaker Aparna Sen is the jury of this selection process.
