Deepika Padukone recently sparked controversy after laying strict conditions for films like Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Spirit” and Prabhas–Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2.” She reportedly refused to work beyond eight hours a day, leading the makers to move on without her. Deepika has been vocal about the need for fixed working hours in the film industry and has declined projects that demand long schedules.
Now, her stance is back in discussion after filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s remarks at the trailer launch of “Dhurandhar,” which stars Ranveer Singh.
Speaking about the team’s commitment, Dhar said, “Everybody has worked 16–18 hours continuously and nobody ever cribbed about working hours. It was 100% dedication, and because of that we pulled off what we are seeing on screen.”
Following his statement, social media users began trolling Deepika, pointing out that her own husband has no issues working long hours on set.
