Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has moved the Delhi High Court seeking protection of her publicity and personality rights, following the unauthorized use of her name and images.
Her petition highlights serious concerns over commercial exploitation, fraudulent claims, and the circulation of manipulated and obscene AI-generated visuals bearing her likeness.
The court recognized the gravity of the matter and appeared inclined to grant injunctions to prevent further misuse.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s “Ponniyin Selvan 2”, and has not announced any upcoming projects. Meanwhile, she discovered that several companies are using her photos and videos without consent, with some even employing AI technology to recreate her images for unauthorized purposes.
Although the next hearing is scheduled for January, the court is expected to issue interim injunctions against the parties involved in infringing her rights.
