Tamil star Dhanush said no to the proposal of selling the digital rights of his current film ‘Jagame Thantram’ (‘Jagame Thanthiram’ in Tamil) to streaming apps for the direct digital release. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film wrapped up its production. Dhanush wants this film to release in theaters only.
Director Karthik Subbaraj, whose latest production ‘Penguin’ that skipped theatrical route for Prime Video premiere, also confirmed that the film has always been meant for the theatrical experience.
Dhanush is playing a conman in this thriller. Produced by Y Not Studios, the film has Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead.
