Director Tatineni Rama Rao passes away

Director Tatineni Rama Rao is no more. He breathed his last today in a private hospital in Chennai. NT Ramarao and Jayaprada starrer blockbuster “Yamagola” was his most famous film as a director.

His other popular Telugu films are ‘Jeevana Tarangal’, ‘Anuraga Devata’ and ‘Pachani Kapuram’.

He had directed 70 Hindi and Telugu feature films between 1966 and 2000.

He was more popular in Bollywood in the 1980s as he had successfully remade Tamil and Telugu blockbusters in Hindi. ‘Andha Kaanoon’, ‘Ek Hi Bhool’, ‘Mujhe Insaaf Chayihe’, and ‘Naache Mayuri’ are some of his notable Hindi movies.
