Director Tharun Bhascker who shot to fame with ‘Pelli Choopulu’ is still not effectively put his directorial and writing talent to the best use for the silver screen. In the last five years, he has directed only two movies – ‘Pelli Choopulu’ and ‘Ee Nagariniki Eamaindhi’ and is continually exploring other avenues.
He recently turned actor and made debut as lead actor in ‘Meeku Maathrame Cheptha’ which was a box-office disappointment. He has now turned Television host for ETV Plus. The director will interview celebrities like Karan Johar did in Bollywood. The program is titled ‘Neeku Maathrame Cheptha’ and it will be aired every Saturday from March 14.
He has also involved in several web series productions.
Although Tharun Bhascker has received a nod from Venkatesh for a movie, he has not yet finished the script.
