Will Ravi Teja set a new trend in Tollywood in releasing a biggie like his latest movie directly on a streaming app? In Bollywood, Akshay Kumar took such a daring step by allowing the ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ to premiere on Disney HotStar skipping theatrical release.
Now, the makers of ‘Krack’ are holding discussions with a streaming App. Our sources said Ravi Teja has given no-objection certificate to the makers if they wish to release it on the OTT platform. He reportedly told the producers to decide what best suits them and brings back revenue during these tough times.
After he gave a nod, the producers have begun negotiations with a big streaming company for direct OTT release. If the streaming company agrees to the money the makers are demanding, ‘Krack’ would become the first Telugu biggie to have a direct digital release. If the talks fail, it will have to wait for theaters to open.
Our sources say the talks are at an advanced stage.
‘Krack’ stars Ravi Teja as a police officer and Shruti Haasan is his pair. Gopichand Malineni is directing the film.
