Filmy version of Pedda Puli gets thumbs up

“Pedda Puli”… this is very popular folk number in Hyderabad and in Telangana. The song is played every nook and corner in Telangana during bonalu festival. The song that extols the heroic deeds of Gandi Maisamma gets new rhythms and filmy touch. And now the song has been recreated by director Krishna Chaitanya and music director Thaman for the film ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’.

This filmy version has been well received by music lovers.

The film stars Nithin and Megha Akash as the lead pair and Pawan Kalyan Creative Works and Sreshth Movies have joined hands for production. The song takes off when the hero gets his US visa clearance and is all high on celebration mode. And it’s being Bonalu time; the energy around him takes his celebrations to next level. Sahithi who is famous for his folk songs has written this song.
