Gaurang's 'Ode to Saree' Show

Dancer Sandhya Raju walked for GAURANG as show opener for his ‘Ode to Sari’ show at a fund raising event held in Hyderabad late last evening. The Kuchipudi Dancer – Actress Sandhya Raju’s sari was both stunning and trendy.

Everything about this look was indeed ‘Showstopper’ – from head to toe, absolutely spellbinding, Sandhya Raju said, who walked the ramp in a black Kanjeevaram saree with a red border which had a lion motif, paired with a green kanjeevaram blouse designed by GAURANG.

This beautiful korvai woven sari handcrafted by Textile and Fashion Designer Gaurang dazzled the spectators, it radiated intricate patterns, colors and motifs which are his hallmark.

The fund raiser show attended by who is who from the city of Hyderabad was held at the majestic Chowmahalla Palace in Hyderabad. The designer presented 28 saris that included Kanjeevaram, kota, khadi, patan Patola, paithani and benarasi.

“The saree an eternal piece of clothing” says Gaurang, an ardent sari aficionado, who persistently promotes the Nine yard Jamdani woven innovations that reflect the heritage and traditions of India across the globe. He amplified the beauty of timeless ‘sari’ which remains a must wardrobe collectable for a woman at the show by rotary club.

“Wearing a sari is cool too as gives you inventive, attention-grabbing ways to drape that none of the other fashion pieces offer” says the Gaurang whose collections reflect the weaving traditions and culture of India.

The sari purist GAURANG is known for his exquisite creations and a rich eye for details. His collections attract a slew of celebrities and handlooms enthusiasts of all age groups repeatedly. The Textile designer has always charmed the fashion platform season after season with diverse mix of garments, made from timeless weaves like Khadi, uppada, paithani, kanjeevaram, Benarasi, patan patola, kota and dhakai.

The show was brought to life live poetry, composed on the beauty of a woman.
