‘Ghaati’ is on track, ‘Mirai’ sets a new date

Until recently, it appeared that two films would clash on September 5: Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati and Teja Sajja’s Mirai. But schedules have now shifted.

“Ghaati” is firmly on track. The film will have its US premiere on September 4 and hit Indian screens on September 5. The team is gearing up for massive promotions. The film is being directed by Krish. It is an action film with Anushka playing a ganja smuggler.

Teja Sajja’s “Mirai,” however, has been postponed due to production delays. The makers are weighing new dates, either September 12 or September 19. If it lands on September 12, Bellamkonda Srinivas and Anupama Parameswaran’s “Kishkindhapuri” will likely move to the following week. A final decision is expected soon.

“Mirai” will also have a grand Hindi release, with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions presenting it.
