Director Harish Shankar has appealed to Telugu film lovers to support his upcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh (UBS) ahead of its release.
Speaking about the release plans, Harish Shankar said the team decided to prepone the film’s release to align with the festive occasion of Ugadi after requests from distributors.
“We advanced the release from March 26 after distributors felt that a big film like ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ should arrive during the Ugadi festival. Usually, festivals like Sankranthi or Ugadi accommodate two or three films, so we are not worried about competition,” he explained.
The director, however, stressed that the film needs support from all sections of the audience. “Not just Pawan Kalyan’s fans, but neutrals and regular Telugu movie lovers should watch this film. Their support will be good for the industry. I promise that we will deliver the best quality entertainment,” he said.
He also mentioned that music composer S. Thaman is currently working round the clock to complete the background score and other music-related work.
Harish Shankar expressed confidence that “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” will kickstart the summer 2026 season with a bang.
