Has Netflix paid a record amount for Nani’s film?

Netflix has been investing big money in the Telugu film industry. The streaming giant has snapped up the rights to many upcoming biggies, including “Devara” and “Pushpa 2.” It is also continuing to bag more movies.

According to the buzz in the market, Netflix has also offered a big amount to producer DVV Danayya for the rights to “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.” Starring Nani in the lead role, the film is currently under production.

There’s talk that the amount that Netflix offered is a record in Nani’s career. The streaming giant also bagged the rights to Nani’s previous films like “Shyam Singha Roy,” “Dasara,” and “Hi Nanna.”

Nani has developed a name for himself in other markets beyond the traditional Telugu market with his recent films. Hence, there is a demand for his movies on OTT.

“Saripodhaa Sanivaaram” is an action thriller. Priyanka Arul Mohan plays the lead role in the Vivek Athreya-directed film. The makers are planning to release it in August 2024.
