Former IAS officer Vijay Kumar has filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court against Pawan Kalyan. In his petition, he alleged that government funds were misused for the promotion of Pawan Kalyan’s recent film “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” (HHVM).
He claimed that Pawan Kalyan, in his capacity as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, diverted government resources and funds for the benefit of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, where he played the main role.
Vijay Kumar has sought a CBI probe into the matter. The High Court, after hearing the petition, directed the registry to include the names of CBI and ACB in the case. The hearing has been adjourned for a week.
“Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” starring Pawan Kalyan as an outlaw named Veera Mallu, was released on July 24, 2025. Directed by Jothi Krishna and presented by AM Ratnam, the film turned out to be a flop. Distributors who lost money are now demanding GST reimbursement from the producers.
With this, Pawan Kalyan is facing not only the film’s commercial failure but also a new legal battle.
