Director Praveen Sattaru’s new film starring Ram Pothineni was scrapped even before it hit the floors. The film was launched in style by producer Sravanthi Ravikishore. The action thriller set in the backdrop of India and Pakistan border was stopped due to the high budget quotation. Producer felt that it would be highly impossible to recover the budget that director Sattaru mentioned. He didn’t want to take risk and scrapped the project further going into the set. Fair enough!
There have been ill-informed reports that producer would be losing nearly Rs 2 Cr on the investment he made on pre-production. However, our sources say the people who have lost is not the producer but hero Ram, director Praveen Sattaru and the key technicians. Praveen Sattaru lost his precious five months’ time working on this project avoiding other tempting offers from other stars and producers. Cameraman dropped many big films to work on this exciting story.
Then what about the money that producer invested on the pre-production? Well, he’d be getting the money back as he insured the project totally. He will recover the amount from insurance companies.
