The Taminadu police have filed a case against actor Kasthuri Shankar for her inflammatory remarks about Telugu-speaking people in Tamil Nadu. The police who visited her home in Chennai as part of their investigation reportedly discovered her not there and her phone turned off.
Though some media stories claimed she was absconding, police believe she went to a movie set. They will contact her within a few days.
Kasthrui received backlash from everyone for saying that Telugu people were consorts of bygone kings.
She later issued a lengthy explanation clarifying that she did not intend that and that it had been misinterpreted.
