Income tax officials today began raids on the production houses of Sri Venkateshwara Creations, owned by Dil Raju and Mythri Movie Makers. The raids have been continuing since early morning.
Dil Raju had released two films this Sankranthi; both were produced by his production house. They are “Game Changer,” which turned out to be a flop, while “Sankranthiki Vasthunam” is minting money at the box office. Meanwhile, IT officials are also searching Dil Raju’s daughter Hanshithareddy’s house.
Mythri Movie Makers scored a record-breaking hit with “Pushpa 2: The Rule.” The Allu Arjun starrer grossed over 1800 crore worldwide, becoming the all-time second highest-grossing Indian movie ever. So, IT officials must be looking for accounts.
These kinds of raids frequently take place in the Telugu film industry.
