The Sankranthi 2026 race has officially begun with Chiranjeevi’s “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu” confirming its festival release. Sankranthi usually accommodates two or three big-ticket films and a smaller venture, and this time the lineup is starting to shape up.
Naveen Polishetty’s “Anaganaga Oka Raju” is also eyeing the same slot. Meanwhile, all eyes are on Prabhas’s “The Raja Saab.” Though the makers had earlier announced December 5, 2025, the film will no longer be arriving on that date. Instead, a fresh Sankranthi release date is expected to be revealed next month, accompanied by a new poster.
With the strike in Tollywood now resolved, shooting for “The Raja Saab” will resume soon.
Prabhas is simultaneously working on Hanu Raghavapudi’s “Fauji,” but among his upcoming projects, The Raja Saab will be the first to hit theaters. In the film, a horror comedy directed by Maruthi, Nidhhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan play the leading ladies.
