Kamal Haasan who launched his political party MNM in February 2018 will be contesting ensuing Loksabha Elections 2019. Election Commission has allotted ‘Battery Torch’ as poll symbol to his party.
Welcoming the EC’s decision, Kamal said his party will “endeavor to be the torch-bearer for a new era in Tamil Nadu and Indian politics”.
His party will contest all the 39 Loksabha constituencies in Tamilnadu. He stalled the shoot of Shankar directed ‘Bharateeyudu 2’. Meanwhile, superstar Rajinikanth made it clear that his political party will not contest the parliament polls.
