The discussion on 9–6 work shifts in the film industry continues to gain momentum. After Deepika Padukone’s comments sparked widespread debate and Rashmika Mandanna voiced her support, Keerthy Suresh has now joined the conversation.
Addressing the issue, Keerthy said, “Everyone talks about the 9–6 shift, but very few understand what actually happens behind the scenes. By the time we wrap up and return home, it’s already 10 PM. Technicians arrive much earlier than the actors and end up working more than 12 hours a day. Good health becomes a challenge for everyone.”
She further added, “People say everyone needs eight hours of sleep, but actors hardly get that privilege during shoots. Technicians sometimes don’t even get four hours of rest.”
