Ram Gopal Varma directed “Lakshmi’s NTR” that hit the screens last weekend amidst confusion and controversies has done good business in Telangana. The film that has no known stars in the main cast has collected Rs 1.90 Cr share in Telangana in the first weekend. Rs 1.90 Cr share for this kind of movie is a big amount taking into the account that people have stopped coming to the theaters to RGV’s movies in the recent past.
The film didn’t release in Andhra Pradesh yet. It also collected more than Rs 20 lakhs in rest of India and another Rs 70 lakhs share from USA. All in all, “Lakshmi’s NTR” collected Rs 2.80 Cr in its first weekend. All in all, it is heading towards hit.
Meanwhile, RGV is fighting in Supreme Court over the stay of the movie’s release in Andhra Pradesh.
