Ram Gopal Varma has announced a new release date for his controversial movie “Lakshmi’s NTR” that is facing troubles for its political content. The movie is yet to be cleared by Censor Board but RGV has fixed a new release date – March 29. The film has been postponed several times.
Telugu Desam party members have filed cases against the movie and have urged Election Commission of India to stop its release during election period as the film projects the party’s chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu as the villain in NT Rama Rao’s life, which would spoil the party’s prospects and favour the opposition. It was Naidu who backstabbed his father-in-law and staged a coup in 1995 to take power from him. “Lakshmi’s NTR” is showcasing these incidents as they happened.
Starring Yagna Shetty as Lakshmi Parvathi, this political movie is directed by RGV and Agasthya.
