Lata Mangeshkar to remain in ICU for 10 days

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar will have to remain in ICU for 10-12 days. She got admitted to a Mumbai hospital after she has tested positive for COVID-19.

Doctors are closely monitoring and treating Lata Mangeshkar for COVID-19 and pneumonia infections. Before she contracted COVID-19, the 92-year-old singer was suffering from pneumonia.

Given her age, doctors said Lata Mangeshkar needs to be in ICU for a longer time.

The Indian government honoured melody queen Lata Mangeshkar with Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award for her contribution to the music world.
