Malavika Mohanan: Actresses hardly get substantial soles

Malavika Mohanan is all set to make a striking entry into Tollywood. She has already gained huge popularity among the youth through her glamorous photoshoots and social-media presence. The actress has previously worked in Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam films.

Now, she is paired opposite Prabhas in “The Raja Saab,” one of the most anticipated festive releases. The film is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on January 9. Speaking about her Telugu debut, Malavika shared that “The Raja Saab” offered her much more than just a token role, something she feels is rare in superstar-driven films.

Malavika Mohanan has played one of the female leads in this horror comedy that has two other actresses: Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar.

Malavika candidly noted that actresses in big-star films are often sidelined with only a couple of scenes and one song. “Only those who are really lucky get two songs,” she said matter-of-factly.
